Our Mission 

jarjoy started with a simple mission: to provide the world with moments of joy through truly
innovative desserts that differentiate from the traditional, tired plethora of puddings and gelatins. That was our mission when we started in 2014, and it still is today. 
We exist to create shared joy by making hospitality effortless, through tiny vacations in the middle of everyday life. Our culinary development team thrives to create simple joy filled moments of happiness in every perfectly portioned jar, consistently delivering exceptional quality one spoonful at a time.
We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional flavor, premium ingredients and unique
concepts for the best desserts possible. That’s why we are committed to a recipe for success in every single jar we create. And because we value quality over quantity so highly, our desserts are perfectly portioned into convenient jars to offer a totally satisfying treat without the guilt of overindulging.

 

Our Story 

The jar joy story begins with a single chef — (female founder) — who started it all from
scratch with her love for baking cupcakes.



Once her cupcake business really started to take flight, she opened two brick-and-mortar cupcake shop locations in south Florida with her husband, which they would later trade in to
create the brand jar joy.
Through years of previous experience working with sweets, they saw how customers responded passionately to both traditional favorites and new combinations of familiar flavors.
It was this love for nostalgic sweet treats that would later ignite their passion for creating
desserts that rekindle fond memories for many and create new ones for many others.
The business began to receive a high level of interest from large retail chain stores, dessert buyers seeking innovation in this space for their shelves. We had to support scale from our
popularity and mass production which caused us to then relocate the business to a 60,000 square foot facility in Central Florida where we call home now.
Today, dessert lovers everywhere can enjoy our perfectly packaged mini-indulgences in a growing variety of delicious and own brand clean-ingredient creations. We reach consumers with our jar dessert concepts in many forms and partnerships today to spread our joy throughout the US.

  • Wastewater Management:

    1. Our facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant specifically designed to remove fats, oils, and greases from our wastewater before it is sent to municipal treatment facilities. This not only helps in reducing the environmental burden on local water treatment infrastructure but also ensures that we adhere to environmental compliance standards..

  • Energy Efficiency:

    2. To minimize our energy consumption and enhance efficiency, our entire building is fitted with LED lighting systems. These systems are automated to ensure that lights are only on, when necessary, significantly reducing our energy usage and contributing to our overall energy conservation efforts.

  • Vertical Integration of Packaging:

    3. Vertical Integration of Packaging: We have vertically integrated the production of our core packaging item, the plastic cup. This internal production eliminates the need to transport cups from external suppliers, thereby reducing our carbon footprint associated with transportation emissions.

  • Ingredient Optimization:

    4. To reduce waste and lower the emissions linked to transporting heavier, bulkier materials, many of our ingredients are processed into powder form instead of liquid. This change not only decreases the overall weight and volume of shipments but also enhances the efficiency of our logistics.

  • Sustainable Packaging Materials:

    5. All our jars are recycling friendly. All our cardboard packaging is made from 100% recycled material. This initiative reduces the need for virgin paper production, which is often associated with higher energy and water usage and greater environmental impact.
